Families love our preschool

"We are so grateful to West Lawn UMC preschool for the safe, loving, and fun environment that it provided to both of our boys. The teachers and staff took time to form close relationships with our kids and the activities in the classroom m (including visits to the playground, library, and chapel) laid a firm foundation for them before their elementary years. Our whole family has loved being a part of the WLUMC preschool community!"
- Betsy Fick, Parent

“My daughter started attending West Lawn UMC preschool when she was 2 years old. From then until the end of Pre-K, she had the most wonderful experience. What impressed me the most is the curriculum preparing her for Kindergarten. She is only a month into Kindergarten, but it is quite obvious that she has a head start on some of her peers. The staff was nothing short of amazing as well. Every teacher (and the director) were kind, smart, thoughtful and engaging. I wouldn't change a thing about my daughter's preschool education.”
- Stephanie Deswert, Parent of Eliza

“West Lawn Preschool gave my children the best educational and social foundation for their transition to elementary school. From age 2 all the way to 5, my children were engaged socially, academically, and spiritually. The teachers made sure each child felt loved and seen for who they were and helped to mold their students into not only excellent learners, but wonderful, caring friends to each other.”
- Anna Knauer, Parent of Ronan & Benny

"West Lawn UMC Preschool was the perfect balance educationally and socially to prepare our boys for a successful transition to public school. We appreciate the values taught to them in the 3 years they attended and highly recommend their preschool programs!"
- Julie Johnson, Parent of Carson & Wesley

from our teachers' hearts

"What I love most about teaching preschool is watching each child learn and grow. I enjoy seeing their excitement when they accomplish a task on their own, and it’s so rewarding to watch their faces light up as they explore and discover something new. ."
- Miss Beth, Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

"I love teaching preschool because it’s such a joy and an honor to be part of this special stage in a child’s life, when they are discovering and experiencing so many things for the very first time. Preschool is the foundation for a child’s entire school journey, and for many it is their very first introduction to a structured learning environment. I strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and warm place for children not only to land, but to launch from—helping them take those first steps with excitement, confidence, and joy."
- Miss Garbriela, 3-Year-Old Teacher

"What makes West Lawn UMC Preschool different from other preschools? We offer classes for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds, along with an Age 2 We-School, a before-school program, and an extended-day program. We also include weekly chapel time, where children hear Bible stories and learn about God’s love. Combined with our dedicated and nurturing staff, these programs make West Lawn Preschool a truly special place to learn and grow."
- Miss Erica, Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
