Safe  Haven  Lighthouse

Safe Haven Lighthouse is an afterschool program held at West Lawn UMC that serves the school-age children of our community. Safe Haven Lighthouse is held on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. beginning in September and operates until May. We provide a snack, craft, Bible lesson, games, and homework help. Our program is offered at no charge to the families.

We offer transportation for children from Whitfield Elementary School to our church. All children are welcome in at Safe Haven Lighthouse, they just need transportation to/from our church.  We follow the Wilson School District calendar, so when Wilson is in session on a Wednesday, then we have Safe Haven Lighthouse.

If you need further information, please call the church office at 610-678-5611 or complete the form below.
Happy Easter from Safe Haven Lighthouse!
We have been studying scripture about the Lenten season. We all have the same scripture verses we read each week and then we have discussion questions, and an action plan for the week. Our kids really enjoy taking turns and reading scripture each week. We are praying that this encourages them to make it a life-long part of their lives.
In February we took our annual trip to Berks Lanes for an afternoon of fun for all of us. We appreciate having such a great bowling alley close by that we can go to. The kids were able to play at least two games and enjoyed pizza, soda, and a game card for the arcade.
The school year is going by very quickly. We have new lessons to learn and a few more fun field trips.

Blessings to all for a fun and safe Spring!

Shalom,
Lori Madara and Bonnie Rissmiller
