Safe  Haven  Lighthouse

Safe Haven Lighthouse is an afterschool program held at West Lawn UMC that serves the school-age children of our community. Safe Haven Lighthouse is held on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. beginning in September and operates until May. We provide a snack, craft, Bible lesson, games, and homework help. Our program is offered at no charge to the families.

We offer transportation for children from Whitfield Elementary School to our church. All children are welcome in at Safe Haven Lighthouse, they just need transportation to/from our church.  We follow the Wilson School District calendar, so when Wilson is in session on a Wednesday, then we have Safe Haven Lighthouse.

If you need further information, please call the church office at 610-678-5611 or contact Lori Madara below.
January 2025 Update:
We had a fun time in December, preparing the Caring Community Christmas buckets. We partner with the United Women in Faith to provide personal care items to our members who are in personal care homes and those who are in their own homes. The kids enjoy doing this every year. We want our members to know we are thinking and praying for them.

Four of the homes of our members were near our church so the kids personally delivered those buckets, along with singing Christmas carols. We are so appreciative of our bus driver, Frank Paull, for driving us around to the homes.

Another service project the kids participated in was preparing the candles for the Candlelight services. The kids were glad to be of help and liked the fact that they were providing a needed service to our church.

May you all have a Blessed 2025!
