Safe Haven Lighthouse is an afterschool program held at West Lawn UMC that serves the school-age children of our community. Safe Haven Lighthouse is held on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. beginning in September and operates until May. We provide a snack, craft, Bible lesson, games, and homework help. Our program is offered at no charge to the families.
We offer transportation for children from Whitfield Elementary School to our church. All children are welcome in at Safe Haven Lighthouse, they just need transportation to/from our church. We follow the Wilson School District calendar, so when Wilson is in session on a Wednesday, then we have Safe Haven Lighthouse.
If you need further information, please call the church office at 610-678-5611 or complete the form below.

April 2025 Update:
Happy Spring From Safe Haven Lighthouse!
Easter is quickly approaching and here at Safe Haven we are talking about Lent and what it means in our lives. Pastor Tom spoke with the kids on Ash Wednesday and delivered ashes and communion to us. It is an important part of our faith, and the kids got a lot of meaning out of his words and illustrations.
The kids really enjoy reading scripture and the Bible lessons we have. It is wonderful to see them grow in their ability to read and understand what God is saying to them.
In February the kids were able to decorate (and eat) heart cookies. Great snack! They are highly creative.
In March we took our annual trip to Berks Lanes for an afternoon of bowling and fun. The kids had an exciting time, and it was fun to watch the improvement in their bowling skills and the way they helped and encouraged each other.
We hope your days are filled with sunshine and blessings!
