Refresh Berks Mobile Shower Team
Refresh Berks Mobile Shower volunteer sign-up is officially open!
If you'd like to make a hands-on difference on a day the shower trailer
is out serving the community, this is your opportunity.
As a volunteer, you'll greet guests warmly, provide towels and shower products, and clean the showers between occupants. You'll also help the Refresh Berks team with setup and breakdown of the trailer. The trailer features two private washrooms where individuals without access to bathing facilities can take a hot shower in comfort and safety. The mission: restore dignity, improve public health, and connect individuals with essential services – one shower at a time.
West Lawn anticipates helping 1-2 times a month, starting in June
Tuesdays: 2-4 PM at Cafe Esperanza (Greenwich Street, Reading)
Thursdays: 12-2 PM at Riverfront Park (South 3rd Street, Reading

Women's Ministry - VBS Craft Night
Calling all crafters–and anyone willing to lend a hand! Come spend an evening creating, assembling, and preparing for VBS as we cut, glue, paint, design, and build together for the glory of God. No special skills are needed–just a willing spirit! Whether you’re experienced or brand new to crafting, you’ll be a huge help and enjoy meaningful fellowship along the way.
Each summer, Vacation Bible School comes to life through imaginative decorations that transform our West Lawn campus into VBS Central. This year, we’re bringing “Rainforest Falls” to life, and we’d love your help re-outfitting our campus into a jungle-like atmosphere where kids will explore the nature of God.
This year's crafts include:
- Giant Tissue Paper Flowers
- Tablecloth Vines and Paper Chains
- Sanctuary Window Decor
- Wooden Butterfly Painting
- Silhouette tracing and cutting
- Twisted Brown Paper Vines
As we craft the night away, enjoy light refreshments, snacks, and plenty of fellowship and laughter with other West Lawn women. Please register beforehand to help us ensure we have adequate supplies and food for everyone to enjoy.

Join Us for the 2nd Annual Gratitude Golf Outing! 
West Lawn UMC invites you to hit the greens for our 2nd Annual Gratitude Golf Outing at Manor Golf Club on Sunday, May 31.
This special event was created to give back—each year supporting a different individual, family, or ministry within the West Lawn community. This year, all proceeds will benefit our Firehouse Youth Scholarship Fund.
Through this outing, we aim to ease the financial burden for families with youth eager to participate in meaningful, offsite, multi-day experiences. Our students are already looking ahead to the National Youth Conference in Dallas, Texas (2027), and your support will help cover travel, lodging, and registration costs.
Outing Details:
• 4-Person Scramble Format
• Shotgun Start at 1:00 PM
• Snacks, Dinner & Prizes Included
