Join our Christmas Eve Team
Especially on Christmas Eve, our church has the opportunity to welcome many visitors. Some are traveling a long way to visit their families, others may be looking for a permanent place of worship, while some may be stopping in for a Christmas Eve service to experience church for the very first time. Let us open our doors and our hearts to those who come. You have an opportunity to serve and potentially make a difference in someone’s life. Help us to make their visit at West Lawn UMC memorable! Your church needs your help in the areas of greeters, parking lot greeters, ushers, clean-up between services, dispersing candles and their collection, etc. All are welcome to join our Christmas Eve team to serve our church and God as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Small Group Resource
One of the first signs of the Christmas season is the appearance of lights on trees, houses, and candles in windows. Christmas lights are one of the best parts of the holiday season. These lights bring so much hope and excitement because they remind us that Jesus is the light of the world! This December during Advent we seek to rediscover what Christmas is all about – Jesus, God’s antidote for darkness in a fallen world. This discussion guide is designed for use as a companion to this year’s Advent sermon series, join us as we look a little deeper into Christmas Light.
