PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR
West Lawn United Methodist Church is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Preschool Director to provide leadership and oversight for our established preschool ministry. The Preschool Director is responsible for the daily operations and administration of the preschool, including staff recruitment and supervision, program development, communication with families and staff, marketing and enrollment, financial management, and oversight of the preschool environment and facilities. The Preschool Director will also serve as a substitute teacher when needed and may serve as a classroom teacher on a regular basis to support program operations and maintain continuity of care and instruction.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a love for children, a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership and organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Candidates should also have a strong Christian faith and a desire to support the preschool’s mission as a ministry of West Lawn United Methodist Church.
Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services, with at least one year of experience working with children; or
An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services, with at least three years of experience working with children.
Previous preschool administration, supervisory, or director experience is preferred.
