WEST LAWN UMC 2025 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

LOOKING FOR WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- CAN I PICK MY CHILD UP EARLY ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT? Yes, you can pick up your child early; although, to be honest, very few people do! The kids beg to stay until the end, where they sing and dance. No one wants to miss the games or snack stations!
- CAN I STAY WITH MY CHILD? You can stay with your child the entire time, but we will need copies of your criminal and child abuse clearances (we can get you that paperwork if you don't already have it). We will also ask that you attend our team meeting on June 2 (6:30 PM, Community Center) so that everyone is on the same page with how things run, etc. You will get a name badge and an adult servant t-shirt. You will not have to be responsible for children other than your own, but you will be grouped into a crew with another leader and other kids. We love it when new parents stay - it makes it super more special for your child, and we get to meet others in our community.
- CAN I HELP AT VBS DESPITE NOT ATTENDING WEST LAWN UMC? Yes, we'd love for you to join our team. We will need copies of your criminal and child abuse clearances (we can get you that paperwork if you don't already have it). We will also ask that you attend our team meeting on June 2nd (6:30 PM, Community Center) so that everyone is on the same page with how things run, etc. You will get a name badge and an adult servant t-shirt.
- IS MY CHILD REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL FOUR NIGHTS OF VBS? No, your child does not need to attend every night. You can attend as many or as few as you would like. It is common for the youngest ones to miss one night - they just need a break! We would suggest you NOT miss Wednesday night - that is when we have some super special treats for them. The final night, Thursday, is also special, with a final program for the families to attend and ice cream at the end of the night!
- HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND WEST LAWN UMC VBS? We welcome children ages 3 through those who just completed 5th grade, free of charge! However, if you would like to support the ministry, we offer a voluntary offering each night. We will also encourage children and families to participate in a missional sock and shgths
