WEST LAWN UMC 2026 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They’ll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life’s storms.

CAN I PICK MY CHILD UP EARLY ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT?
Yes, you can pick up your child early; although, to be honest, very few people do! The kids beg to stay until the end, where they sing and dance. No one wants to miss the games or snack stations!
CAN I STAY WITH MY CHILD?
Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy VBS with their child—we love having you join us!
If you plan to remain on-site, we’ll need copies of your criminal and child abuse clearances (we can help with that if needed) and ask that you attend a brief team meeting on June 2 at 6:30 PM in the Community Center.
You’ll receive a name badge and t-shirt, and while you’ll stay with your own child, you’ll be part of a crew with other leaders and kids. It’s a great way to make the experience even more special and connect with our community!

CAN I HELP AT VBS EVEN IF WEST LAWN IS NOT MY CHURCH?
We’d love to have you join our team! We’ll just need copies of your criminal and child abuse clearances (which we’re happy to help you get if needed). We also ask that you plan to attend our team meeting/training [date & time TBD], so that everyone is aligned and ready to go.
IS MY CHILD REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL FOUR NIGHTS OF VBS?
No, your child doesn't need to attend every night. You can come as many or as few nights as you'd like. It's common for preschoolers or kindergarten-age kids to miss a night - they just need a break! We recommend NOT missing Wednesday night because that's when we have some special treats for them. Thursday also presents unique opportunities for families to learn more about West Lawn, while kids have their final closing program, followed by an extra snack in the parking lot.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND WEST LAWN UMC VBS?
We welcome children ages 3 through those who just completed 5th grade, free of charge! However, if you would like to support the ministry, we offer a voluntary offering each night. We will also encourage children and families to participate in a missional component throughout the week.
