Kids' Lesson September 28
SCRIPTURE: Encourage One Another (Hebrews 10:24-25)
KEY QUESTION: What does it mean to live in peace?
BOTTOM LINE: Encourage One Another
MONTHLY MEMORY VERSE: "As you deal with one another, you should think and act as Jesus did." Philippians 2:5
MONTHLY VIRTUE: LIVE IT OUT

WHAT WE LEARNED THIS WEEK:
Encourage One Another.
This week, we examine a couple of verses from the book of Hebrews, which was actually a letter written to fellow believers a long time ago. The people who first received this letter were meeting in small groups to worship, pray, and learn about Jesus. They were sometimes scared or busy, and some thought they no longer needed to meet. However, the writer emphasizes the importance of sticking together. Meeting with other believers helps us stay strong in our faith.
When we encourage and inspire each other to love and do good works, we’re living like Jesus! Even when life feels hard or unfair, we can remind one another that God will ultimately make everything right. By spending time with friends who love Jesus, we remind each other to persevere, stay hopeful, and be kind, knowing that one day Jesus will return.

WAYS TO ENGAGE
MORNING TIME: As your kid starts their day, encourage them that they have what it takes to live like Jesus this week!
WHILE ON THE GO: While on the go, ask your kid: “What are some ways you’ve seen people live like Jesus?” (You may need to give them some examples to get them started.)
MEAL TIME: At a meal this week, have everyone at the table answer this question: “What do you think it means to live like Jesus? Give some examples or share stories.”
BEDTIME: Pray for each other: “Jesus, help us to not only learn about You, but follow You. Help us to care about people the way You care about them. Help us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.”
