Preschool News

November was a busy month where students learned about Community Helpers, Transportation, Native Americans and Turkeys. We focused on letters C, N, T, numbers 5 & 6, colors orange and brown and sight words Have, My & You! Our Character education word of the month was Generosity. This month we also celebrated Thanksgiving together with our preschool feast! Each classroom helped prepare part of our feast with their teachers. We enjoyed turkey roll-ups, cranberry sauce, cornbread, homemade applesauce, pumpkin pie and a special thanksgiving trail mix. Throughout the month we discussed all of the things and people we are thankful for! We are TRULY BLESSED!

It’s our FAVORITE time of the Year! Everyone is so excited the closer we get to Christmas! During the month of December, we will be learning about the birth of Baby Jesus and the events leading up to his arrival during chapel and in our classrooms. Each class is working to prepare two songs in addition to our whole school chapel songs that we will present to the families in our Christmas Program on December 19th at 9:30-10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. We invite you join us or watch on livestream; it is a joyful reminder of what Christmas is all about! During January, we will explore all things winter, snow and ice and hibernation! Did you know that by January we will have learned more than half of the alphabet, and over 14 sight words in addition to many math concepts. We will continue to feature our Artists Of The Week each Sunday in the narthex. Please help us welcome our young artists and their families as we embrace our preschool community!
